Hi,
I have a member who is in several groups. They can't edit their
profile as they don't know their old email address or get mail through
that, they can't get a new logon.
I can't edit their profile.
What I am doing is removing her from both groups, adding her again.
Am I on the right track here or is there a better way?

I have another member who can't get onto the web - long-standing
problem. I think it may be a similar situation but I can't remove her
from the other group as it is non another OnlineGroups.Net site with
another administrator.
Can a site administrator remove a person from all groups on the site?
That might be useful to fix some of these complex members.
Warm wishes,
Hi Walter, As Dan said here, http://onlinegroups.net/r/post/7rgWnaIgquqZ3np27j6egd unfortunately there is nothing that can currently be done for users who change email addresses without retaining access to the old one. For now, a new account is the only option. > Can a site administrator remove a person from all groups on the site? Not in one action, no. Kind regards, Alice
Hi again,
I see that removing her from both groups still does not remove her
from the site.
I have not re-added her to avoid more confusion.
Where to from here?
Warm wishes,
Hi Walter,
It is not possible to remove a user from the site entirely. If the old
account has been removed from all groups, then you can go ahead and
create a new account using her new email address.
There will be two site member accounts with the same name, but they will
have different email addresses associated with them, and only the new
one will be a member of any groups.
Kind regards,
Alice
