A site administrator has asked me: "How do I change the site name?"
When you first start a site, the site title is set to "[Your Name]'s
Site", where [Your Name] is the name you entered when you registered.
You can change the site title to anything you like, as long as it
complies with our Acceptable Use Policy.
http://onlinegroups.net/policies/aup/
Change your site title as follows.
1: Log in to your site, using the account that you
used to create the site (as this account has "site
administrator" status).
2: Navigate to the home page of your site.
3: Click "customize site", then "Change the name
of the site".
4: Enter a new site name and click "change".
While you are in the site administration area, you'll see that you can
also make the following changes to your site.
* Set the Timezone (this will determine the timezone
for all dates displayed on the site, for non-logged-in
visitors, and sets the timezone for all users who register
to join groups on that site).
* Create a Site Introduction (this enables you to add
headings, paragraphs, lists, links and images to the
home page of your site).
Here is an example of a site with a custom title, timezone and site
introduction.

And here are a couple of by-the-ways.
* You can not change the subdomain of your site,
but with a Premium Site, you can add a custom
domain.

* You can change your name, as it appears on your site,
by navigating to your profile, and clicking "Edit Profile".
