may have raised some questions about how your online groups handle files
in general. Here's a quick explanation of that.
Group members can post files to their groups using email or the web.
They can attach one or more files when posting via email. When posting
via the web, there is an option to select a file when starting or adding
to a topic.
All posted files are stored on the site. Instead of emailing the files
out with the post, however, OnlineGroups.Net includes links to the files
in the email. This means that slow connections can not get overwhelmed
with large files, and recipients can choose which files to download when.
Have a look at the end of this message, for example. You'll see links to
three files I have uploaded. You can see which topics have files in them
on the Topics page,
